Centroid is proud to announce the completion of our SOC 2 Type II audit for 2019. SOC (System and Organization Controls), is a series of standards designed to help measure how well a service organization conducts and regulates data and information. As a SOC-certified organization, Centroid has been audited by an independent certified public accounting firm who determined that appropriate SOC safeguards and procedures are in place to protect client data.
“In the age of the cloud, businesses have vast amounts of data spread out across many locations,” states Jim Brull, Managing Partner. “Whether it’s located on-premises, in the cloud, or some sort of hybrid, Centroid is committed to ensuring the highest levels of data security for our clients.”
The SOC 2 Type II report is the most comprehensive certification within the Systems and Organization Control protocol. By completing the certification, Centroid has proven its systems are designed to keep sensitive data secure through rigorous examination and evaluation of controls regulating interaction with clients and client data. The SOC 2 Type II requires standard operating procedures for organizational oversight, vendor management, risk management and regulatory oversight over a specific time period, and systems must be evaluated for a minimum of six months. Our completion period covered March 1, 2019 through August 31, 2019.
